It will be a disaster

I am a bit shocked that even the mighty US armed forces must deal with this problem. As a german I am disappointed by my own german military since I started to get interested in military stuff many yrs ago. I would really like to enlist, to do my basic combat training and all that stuff, but god... not here, in the Bundeswehr. It's all rotten: Way too few recruts, way too many vets that will retire within the next years, the amount of scandals the Bundeswehr has to deal with (like far-right soldiers who steal ammo for private purposes), a completely rotten administration with lots of bureaucracy and last but not least the actually pretty modern and good equipment (like tanks), which still doens't work because there are no repairing tools and spare parts. Now hearing that the US has some similar problems is shocking. But at least the US still manage to remain world's number 1 military till these days. I hope that won't change in the future.

I had alot of fun in the Army; deployment was exciting... highly recommend anyone that wants adventure and to see the world to join the Army. Don't be skurd...
